Yesterday while showing property, I ran across this wonderful old farm house setting in the middle of a field with panoramic views for miles.
There was something about the house, that made me wonder, who had lived there? why no one had taken care of it through the years? When was it built? Did they have kids that ran playing through the fields?
Many people buy prints of old houses and old barns and often display them in their homes along with a family heirloom piece of furniture. This photo could have been just one of those prints. What is your thought?

Dona, it is picturesque, and at one time looks like it was a substantial home. I wonder what happened to cause it to become abandoned and neglected?
I agree Dona, it is a wonderful old farmhouse! It must have so much history. I can't believe it is still standing, it looks as if one good windstorm and it would blow over.
Hi Tony! I have seen photos like this old house framed, matted that sell for a lot of money, something about it just setting in the middle of a farm field caught my eye. Does make us wonder who, why and how come, doesn't it?
Hi Terrie! Sorry I have not been able to visit you for a while, promise it will be soon! I have been swamped with real estate, infact, I just got home from writing another offer, I don't think there is a lot holding this old house up, but then again, they really knew how to build houses back then, didn't they? Have a great week and see you soon!
Hi Dona! Well, it looks like the 3 little pigs missed this one! Seriously, when I see these old homes, I too, wonder about their history--makes you admire the way they were built too--still standing after all these years. Great shot too!
Have a wonderful week...
